Tim and Judy

For all the years that we have been Texans, neither me or Judy have ever been to the Gaylord Texan.  I wasn't even sure where it was.  Without knowing it, my dear cousin really knows how to pick a place for photos!  We got the River Walk, railroads, and the Woodlands all in one place!

I was so happy to catch up with them!  And very happy that they were able to take time away from work and kids for themselves.  Couples with kids nearing teenage hood really need that! Oh man..how old are we..My cousin has a 12 year old!  Neither of us could believe it, me especially since little Drew is still about 5 or so in my head...not 12!

But kids and all the years past aside, I made sure they got plenty of time to stare deeply into one another's eyes and get in some kisses.  They were more than happy to oblige.

One of the surprising benefits of being a photographer is having a great reason to meet up old friends and family after year(s) of unnecessary not meeting up.  My cousin Judy and Tim are awesome people!  Can't wait to share the rest of these photos with you tomorrow :D!

Valentines: Andrew and Tessa

There are some couples that just melt your heart every time they enter the room together.

I've know these two for a couple of years now, and their love has just kept growing.  I think it must be something in the way they put the other first without question.  Driving her to yoga at 5am, genuine interest in his interests (Call of Duty included); their sweetness is an everyday back and forth giving.  I feel so lucky to be their friend and to witness such love <3

Marie + Francis

Francis is such a brave dude. He knew Marie was in a serious relationship and that being honest about his feelings would be dangerous. But he couldn't lie to his friend. He liked her. He really liked her. But of course, Marie had to say no.

Undaunted, Francis the brave continued to be her loyal friend.

Months and months later, something changed. Francis knew, but he was going to wait. If all she wanted was a friend, he was going to be there for her, but he couldn't help but hope.
Then one evening, she went to visit him and his family to watch TV as usual. Marie hadn't forgotten, in fact she had been thinking about what he said for a while now...and she was in love. And she told him so! She told him that she loved him as they sat together watching...well, who would remember something like that at a time like this!?

This past weekend I had a wonderful time with my friends Marie and Francis!  The weather was perfect so we went to Arbor Hills for a little photo shoot... and a hike as it turned out.  More to come soon!

Liz and Ariffin Engagement Session

God bless a good friend. Especially if that friends knows a good man when she sees one.

Liz' good friend introduced her to Ariffin...who told an off colored joke, right off the bat! Liz was not impressed, and were it not for her friend insisting, "no really, he's a good guy!" she would never have given him a second chance.

Years later, that second chance turned into love.

Now they are getting married!
